Lake of
Forêt d'Orient
Located in the heart of the Forêt d’Orient Regional Nature Park, in the Aube region, Lake Orient is a true haven of nature ideal for hiking, family walks, and outdoor exploration. Surrounded by deep forests, wetlands, and peaceful beaches, it offers a wide variety of trails accessible to all.

The dike of
Géraudot
The Géraudot Dike Walk, approximately 7 to 8 km round trip, follows a stretch of the lake along a developed dike. It offers beautiful views of the water and the opportunity to spot swans, herons, and occasionally even ospreys.

To discover
Fauna & Flora
For wildlife enthusiasts, a more contemplative walk awaits within the nature reserve, accessible from the Maison du Parc. Observation points are set up along the trail (ranging from 2 to 4 km, depending on the chosen route). Wander through the paths and viewing stations of the Espace Faune in the Forêt d’Orient. This true immersion in the natural life of the lake may bring you face-to-face with deer, roe deer, aurochs, and even European elk.

The Lake's
Greenway
Built on a former railway line, the Lakes Greenway connects Troyes to the lakes, passing through Lusigny-sur-Barse and Géraudot. Open to pedestrians, cyclists, and rollerbladers, it offers a peaceful, car-free route through unspoiled natural surroundings.
